Welcome to Ianthe Jackson's art!

logpile.jpg

It is that time of year when we start stacking wood to be burned through the winter. I have been creating a series of wood pile images with watercolor and drypoint prints. I have a long history with wood piles beginning in Buffalo NY when my parents decided to heat the house with wood. From that point on we had giant piles of wood delivered to our front lawn in the middle of the city. We would spend days stacking that wood for the winter. Below is a watercolor painting on arches cover paper and measures 29" x 41". It is titled 'Log Pile'. Take a look into more of my work throughout the site and learn more about the history of my work in the archive. (archive is a work in progress)
