Spring Portfolio Class

Service Description

Art portfolios can feel overwhelming for parents and students. In this course I will provide 1. A complete list of schools and their portfolio requirements 2. Steps to accomplish high quality work for the final submission date. 3. Throughout the course students will work on practice drawing techniques, final projects such as still life drawing, self portrait drawing and figure drawing. 4. We will review and critique independent artwork and final portfolio compilations to make sure students receive feedback for the work completed and in progress. The feedback is so beneficial to students, not only do they get to hear and understand how their work is received by others, they also get the opportunity to cultivate their own constructive critical voice in looking at the work of others. 5. Students will receive a portfolio folder and art materials to complete the work required. 6. Students will be asked to complete practice work at home as well as during class hours. 7. The classes will be indoors at The Lost and Found on Gates Avenue in Brooklyn. This will include, portraitures, figure drawing and still life drawing.
